Usually after any tooth movement and before bonding, veneers or crowns, so restorations can be matched to your final tooth shade. Existing restorations do not whiten, which is another reason for that order.

Invisalign clear aligners
Moving your own teeth into a better position, often first in the plan so that less cosmetic work is needed afterwards.
Teeth whitening
Dentist-supervised whitening of the natural teeth. Usually done after alignment and before any bonding or veneers, so restorations can be matched to the final shade.
Composite bonding
Tooth-coloured composite shaped directly onto the teeth to refine edges, close small gaps or improve proportion.
Veneers
Ceramic or composite facings where a larger change in shape or colour is needed. Most involve some preparation of the tooth.
Gum and hygiene treatment
Gum-health assessment, hygiene appointments and periodontal treatment where needed, so the foundation is stable before cosmetic work.
Crowns and other restorative treatment
Crowns, fillings, root canal treatment or replacing missing teeth with implants or bridges, where teeth need rebuilding rather than resurfacing.

- There is no standard smile makeover, no fixed treatment time and no package price. Everything depends on your agreed plan.
- Some elements are irreversible, particularly veneers and crowns where tooth structure is prepared.
- Cosmetic work is maintained and eventually repaired or replaced; it is not a one-off, permanent result.
- Results depend on your dental health, your bite, your habits and your ongoing care, so we cannot guarantee an outcome.
- Not every goal is achievable with dentistry alone, and we will tell you plainly where that is the case.

A single treatment instead of a plan
Sometimes whitening alone, or a small amount of bonding, achieves most of what a patient wanted. We will say when that is the sensible option.

A plan can be broken into phases spread over months or years to spread the cost and commitment.
